お彼岸茶会　　The tea ceremony party for repose of souls

東北関東大震災・津波・原発事故から、一年を経ましても、何ら収束の見通しも、復興の見通しもたたず、それどころか、利権のために、国民を積極的に危険にさらし続けている、この国の姿です。

One year has passed since the northeast Great Kanto Earthquake, tsunami, and a nuclear power plant disaster.
However, nothing is solved.
The Japanese government, not to mention it, is promoting not revival but people’s contamination.

日々の政府の対応に、絶望感すら感じることの多い毎日ですが、日本を愛する気持ちには、変わりがありません。

I have despaired of the Japanese government.
However, the feeling that I love Japan does not change.

友人や親戚の発案で、ささやかな　お彼岸茶会を、父の茶室　゛閑清庵゛にてひらきました。

I was recommended to friends and opened the tea ceremony party for repose of souls.
The place is my father’s tearoom.   It is “kanseian"

床の間の掛け軸は、四国八十八カ所霊場巡礼印を、表装したものです。

これは、次男が以前、大学の春休みに、巡礼ツァーに参加しました時のものです。

This hanging scroll is a thing when my son does the 88 Shikoku holy place pilgrimage.

私のルーツは、四国・愛媛県ですし、曾祖父は、第五十一番札所・石手寺の住職を務めてもいましたので、お遍路さんへの憧憬は、家族のＤＮＡに刻み込まれているような気がします。

My root is Shikoku.
My ancestor was a chief priest of one temple of the Shikoku holy place.

風呂先屏風は、日本画家・伊藤はるみさんの　゛日月草花゛と題されたもの。

This folding screen drew the sun, the moon, and a flower.

 

以前は、右側の゛日゛の部分が好きで、左側の゛月゛の部分の、黒い花などは、さほど好きではありませんでしたが、久々に出してみますと、「光があるから影もあり、影があるから光がある」という　どなたかの言葉を思い出しました。

友人が持ってきてくれはりました、このお茶碗は、１００年ほど前の　゛相馬焼き゛です。

My friend brought this teacup.
This is the pottery of Soma of 100 years ago.

相馬焼きの生産地でありました地域は、このたびの原発事故により、窯元関係のかたがたも、避難を余技なくされ、地域への立ち入りもできない状態となっているそうです。

悲しい限りです。

The place of production of this pottery is located in Fukushima.
By this nuclear power plant disaster, it became a refuge zone.
They cannot make ゛Soma-yaki゛ any longer.

I am very sad.

そうした人々への思いもはせてのお茶会です。

このお茶碗は、月の満ち欠けを描いた、利峰先生の作品です。

春霞のような色合いに、春の希望を表現しました　小嶋克山先生の、信楽焼のお茶碗です。

母が、春爛漫の　お干菓子を用意してくれました。

棗は、枝垂れ桜の漆塗り。

This Japanese lacquer drew the weeping cherry tree.

桜色の着物に、桜の刺繍帯の、お嫁さんです。

My daughter in low wore the belt of the embroidery of flowers of  cherry tree.

息子の大学院の留学生たちも、来てくれはりました。

My son’s classmate of the graduate school also participated.

そして、、私の着物は　荘子の　゛胡蝶の夢゛より、蝶々、帯は胡蝶蘭を選びました。

I wore the kimono of the pattern of a butterfly, and the belt of the pattern of phalaenopsis. （In Japanese, it is called the orchid  of  butterfly. ）

゛The Dream of a Butterfly" of Chinese thinker,Soshi.

最近、気分が滅入りそうなニュースばかりが聞こえてきますが、友人達のおかげで、良きひとときを持つことができ、また　希望を捨てずに過ごしていこうと、気持ちを切り替えることができました。

ありがとうございます。

I had despaired of Japan recently.
However, I was encouraged by friends.

映画　「アメイジング・グレイス」を観ました。

I saw the movie “Amazing Grace."

１８世紀末のイギリスで、奴隷貿易 廃止に半生を捧げた　ウィリアム・ウィルバーフォースの実際の人生を描いたものです。

This movie drew the life of William Wilberforce.
He will be a politician in the 18th century and performed slave ship abolition movement.

タイトルは、同時期同国に生きた、元・奴隷船船長、のちに牧師となりました　ジョン・ニュートンの作詞によります有名な曲からとられています。

The title of a movie is the famous song for which John Newton wrote the lyrics.
He was a captain of the slave ship.
However, he reformed himself and became a pastor.

ウィルバーフォースは、何年にもわたる活動が、なかなか実を結ばず、精神を病みそうにさえなります。

Wilberforce performed slave ship abolition movement also during what year.
However, he did not realize easily but got insomnia.

ようやく、議会での採決に漕ぎ着けましたものの、買収されました
゛人権派゛議員が、

「奴隷船は、確かに我が国にとっても良いことではないが、急な廃止は、経済的混乱を招くので、゛徐々に゛減らしてゆくべきだ。」

The bribed lawmaker said at the time of a parliamentary vote.
“A slave ship is not good.
However, economy will get confused, if it is abandoned suddenly and carried out.
Therefore, it must stop gradually. "

と、発言する場面、あれ？どこかで聞いたセリフです。

It is the same as the words of a nuclear power plant group of promoters of Japan.

また、奴隷船廃止運動と、反政府運動を、あえて同一視するイメージ戦略や、濡れ衣を着せようとする国の思惑など、まさに、今の日本の原発問題と　そっくり重なって見えてしまいました。

古今東西、人間のすることは、、、、、、

しかし、最終的には、ウィルバーフォースは、信念を貫き、奴隷船廃止を実現させます。

However, eventually Wilberforce won.
And the slave ship was abolished.

現在の日本に、ウィルバーフォースは、存在しているでしょうか、、、、、、

Does William Wilberforce exist in present-day Japan?
