UTAWIT SINGING Contest ２０１２♪

毎週日曜日の英語ミサには、フィリピンのかたがたが、たくさんいはります。

Many Filipinos are attending the English Mass on Sunday in Kyoto.

 

そして日頃から、「Kyoto Pag-Asa Filipino Community」として、バザーやボランティア活動を行っていらっしゃいます。

They perform a bazaar and a volunteer activity as 「Kyoto Pag-Asa Filipino Community」

 

昨日の日曜日は、ミサの後で、歌のコンテストがあり、主人も審査員を任命されまして(^^ゞ参加してまいりました。

We were invited to the contest of the song from them after yesterday’s Mass.

 

 

場所は、南区西九条にあります「希望の家」。

The hall is a place called 「the house of hope」.

 

今は、京都市営住宅の一部に組み込まれていますが、もともとは、５０年前に、メリノール会の神父さまが、当時の貧しい子供達に、「未来への希望を与える」教育や健全な環境をとの思いから、建てられた家でしたそうです。

They are city facilities there now.
However, Catholic’s father built origin 50 years ago.
The father wished poor children of those days giving education and safe environment.
And it was called 「the house of hope」 there.

 

「心のともしび運動本部」のマクドナル神父のお祈りで幕を開け、領事館のかたやプロの音楽家のかた達とともに、主人も審査員としてご挨拶です。

It opened by prayer of father McDonnel of 「the good shepherd movement」.
And my husband greeted as a judge together with the consulate personnel or a musician.

 

プロとして日本で活躍中の歌手やダンサー達が、ゲストでみえていましたし、

The professional singers and dancers under activity in Japan　were also invited.

 

 

 

表情豊かで、常に会場の笑いをとり(英語とタガログ語で、ほとんどわかりませんでしたが(^^;))、参加者とダンスまで踊ってしまう司会者のかたが、とても素敵でした。

I was impressed by the chairman.
She had a rich expression, was good at the talk, and always led the hall to the smiling face.
Moreover, she danced to the dance with the participant.

審査は、別室で、厳正なディスカッションのもとに行われ、４時間にも及ぶコンテストが、ようやく終了しました。

Judges performed strict examination in another room.
And the contest for 4 hours was completed.

I was pleasant.

また、スタッフ心づくしのフィリピン料理も、大変美味しくいただきました。

Moreover, we got served the home cooking of the Philippines.

毎夏恒例の　「チャーチル会京都展」が、本日まで大丸京都で開催されています。
チャリティー作品の収益金は、福祉活動に寄付されます。

The exhibition of 「Churchill club Kyoto」 was held.
The earnings of a charity work are contributed.

お友達の山田好子さんは「京都市長賞」を、私は「大丸賞」を　いただきました。

ありがとうございます♪

My friend won the 「Kyoto mayor prize」.
I was able to award the 「Daimaru prize」.
