細川護煕・元首相夫人の、佳代子さんの茶話会に行きました♪

現在、京都国立博物館において、「細川家の至宝展」が開催されています。

Now, 「the great treasure exhibition of the Hosokawa family」 is held at the Kyoto National Museum.

 

その関係で、細川・元首相夫人の佳代子さんの茶話会に、母と一緒に　招いて頂きました。

By the relation, I and a mother were invited to the tea party of a former prime minister wife,Kayoko Hosokawa.

 

以下は、佳代子さんのお話しの内容です。

The following is the contents of Kayoko’s talk.

 

初代・細川幽斎(藤孝１５３４～１６１０)は、戦国の時代にありながら、その多くの有力大名が消えてゆく中、次々と入れ代わる時の権力者の信頼を得て、今日まで続く細川家の礎を築かれました。

Being in the time of the Warring States, the founder and the Yusai Hosokawa (Fujitaka 1534～1610) obtained reliance of 「the man of power at the time」, and had the foundation of the Hosokawa family which continues till today built.
Although feudal lords disappeared and said one after another those days.

 

なぜ、何代もの権力者の信頼を、得ることができたのでしょうか？・・・・その家訓は、「文武両道」「全力での情報収集」「全ての記録を残す」こととのことです。

Why could he get a man’s of power reliance one after another?
The family precepts are 「both military power and culture being raised」「it being information gathering for the best」and 「leaving all record」.

 

幽斎は、古今和歌集の研究では唯一の継承者であり、茶の湯や能楽にも造形深く、当時、多くの大名達が、何らかの形で、弟子となっていました。

At the time, Yusai was the most excellent scholar of literary researches.
Moreover, he was an expert of the tea ceremony or a Noh play.
Those days, many Feudal lord were the pupils of his culture.

また、当時には珍しく　側室を持たず、そのお墓のお隣には、全く同じ大きさで　奥方のお墓が建てられているそうです。(つまり、その時代において、男女平等思想であった？)

嫡男の忠興のお墓も、やはり　ガラシャ夫人のものと同じ大きさで、並べて建ててあるそうです。ガラシャは、逆臣の娘であり、非業の死を遂げたにも関わらずです。

He was unusual to that time and did not have a side room.
And the grave of the wife of the same size locates in a line and stands next to his grave.
That is, in the time, it was sexual equality thought.

Also next to the grave of the eldest son and Tadaoki, the grave of its wife and Gracia arranges and stands in the same size.
Although she is a daughter of Rebellion person  and died the violent death.

 

さらに、当時の戦では、敵のお城を攻める時には、退路を断って皆殺しにすることが多かったそうですが、幽斎は、必ず　門を一カ所開けておいたそうです。

そして、「逃げたい者は、勝手に逃げれば良い」と。

残された女子供は、全て保護し、就職の世話までしていましたとのこと。

Moreover, massacred in a war of those days in many cases when attacking an enemy’s castle

However, Yusai always opened one gate.
「Those who want to escape should just escape freely.」

All of a woman and a child took care of him, and he also took care of employment.

 

後の　徳川家光３代将軍の乳母となり、影の治世者とまで言われました　春日局もその一人で、生涯　恩義を忘れず、江戸の情報は逐一、細川家へ届けられていたそうです。

In it, Kasgano Tsubone behind called 「the reign person of the shadow」 is.

She had power in the Iyemitsu Tokugawa 3rd generation general’s nurse.

She has not forgotten the whole life and the kindness to Yusai, so sent all the information of the government to the Hosokawa family.

 

そして、先の家訓にありましたように「情報収集」「全ての記録を残す」に基づき、それらの日常の手紙のやりとりなども残され、当時の貴重な資料となっています。

And they kept family precepts.
「it being information gathering for the best」and 「leaving all record」.

All the letters of theirs are left behind and they serve as precious historical data.

さらに、その家訓に加えますと、「権力者に媚びなかった」ということもあるかもしれません。

Furthermore, 「he did not flatter a man of power」 other than the family precepts.

千利休が、秀吉から　切腹を命じられると、それまで取り巻いていました者達は、秀吉のご機嫌をそこねることを心配して遠ざかりましたが、最後に見送ったのは、幽斎と、古田織部の二人だけでしたそうです。

Sen no Rikyu is from a general　When hara-kiri was ordered, those who were surrounding him till then went away.

Because, it was dreadful to have offended a general’s feelings.

It was only twe persons, Yusai and Oribe Furuta  of that finally saw him off.

 

また、キリシタン大名・高山右近が、現在のフィリピンへ　追放処分となりました時にも、最後まで援助し、手紙のやりとりをしていましたのも、幽斎なのだそうです。

Moreover, the district feudal lord’s Ukon Takayama was banished from the general overseas.
Because, he did not throw away Christianity advance.
Yusai helped him to the last.

 

ガラシャの父、明智光秀が、織田信長に謀反を起こし、討ち取られました時にも、幽斎・忠興父子は、ガラシャを差し出すことも　離縁することも拒みました。

Mitsuhide Akechi who is a father of Gracia caused rebellion and was killed.
However, the paternity of Yusai and Tadaoki are refused, divorced to her,and making her into a sinner.

 

何か、強い信念や信仰心に基づいての、筋の透ったものが　その生き方の中にあるような気がします。

I think that they had a noble-minded faith.

 

ところで、護煕・元首相は、現・野田首相に　脱原発へと舵を切ることを進言したものの、聞き入れられなかったとのことですが、細川幽斎が、今の日本を見ましたら、どれほどに嘆き悲しむことでしょうか・・・・・・・

少なくとも、彼は、全力で、福島の女性や子供達を避難させるはずではないかと思います。

By the way, the former prime minister Morihiro Hosokawa advised to expression  Prime Minister Noda.
「Convert a plan into a nuclear power reactor fadeout.」

However, his opinion was not granted.

Yusai looks at present Japan, he will feel sad very much.

At least, I think that he  will do the best  to  evacuates the women and children of Fukushima.

(追記)

人間でいいましたら、「９０歳過ぎの老婆」(ごめんね(^_^;))ですが、いつまでも　姿も声も愛らしい　さくらちゃん。

それでも最近、この　お気に入りの、低反発クッションの上で寝ている時間が多くなり、やはり年をとったのかな・・・・・と、少し寂しい気持ちです。

こちらは、わが家へ来て　間もなく５ヶ月になります　福ちゃん。

今ではすっかり、甘えん坊で、元気満々♪

ただ、ご飯の時に　いまだに、びくびくと振り返りながら、落ち着きなく食べる習性が抜けず、不憫です。

シャワー大好きの福ちゃんは、今日も　抱っこされて(２５キロ！重い！)お風呂へ行きます(^_^)。
